L. BURT 1900,
Reprint of Dodd, Mead edition
THE VOLUME:
The reprint contains the same 5 black and white illustrations
which appear in the first edition. The biggest plus on the
reprint's side is the addition of the color illustration on the
cover and on the dust jacket. These only appear in the reprint
version. However, the
decorations by Margaret Armstrong, which appear in the First
Edition are quite fabulous.

THE DUST JACKET:
A NEW FACSIMILE copy
of the scarce Howard Chandler Christy dust jacket, which
sold with this edition, made from a scan of an original in very
good condition, printed on one sheet of acid-free paper by an
archival inkjet printer (80 yr. inks), and preserved in archival
plastic. One of the more beautiful Victorian jackets I've seen. I
used it to protect one of my First Edition copies. I also have
one with the Margaet Armstrong jacket. Click
here to see a picture of the First Edition dust jacket.
THE
STORY: No clues about the
story-line on the dust jacket for this one, but the lovely
Christy illustrations sort of speak for themselves I think.
This
Book was sold at an Ebay Auction.
