Five
interior color illustrations by Harrison Fisher
DODD, MEAD,
1905
THE VOLUME:
The book is in GOOD+
condition. Tightly bound with wholly intact hinges. Boards are
lightly soiled. Spine edges, spine tips, and board corners show
wear. Board corners are lightly bumped The color paste down on
the front cover is lightly soiled and rubbed, giving the picture
a blurred quality.
On the inside of the front board is a
large, printed label referring to “The Tabard Inn Library,”
which has caused light tanning to the adjoining end paper. No
other library markings are evident. There is a neat ownership
inscription on the first end paper. No other writing. I didn't
see any tears. Some light soiling on a few pages.
All five color illustration are present and
in good condition.
THE DUSTJACKET:
A NEW FACSIMILE copy
of the Harrison Fisher jacket, which sold with this edition,
made from a scan of an original in very good condition, printed
on one sheet of acid-free paper by an archival inkjet printer
(80 yr. inks), and preserved in archival plastic.
THE STORY:
I haven't read this story, but the pictures suggest
it is a romantic adventure dealing with shipwreck, survival—and
of course, love.

and preserve your collection with Facsimile Dust Jackets.
