GROSSET &
DUNLAP, Reprint (of 1906 T. J. McBride
edition)
THE VOLUME:
This reprint is very
like the first edition. It has the same two color illustrations.
I believe the bright red and green decorated boards are also a
near exact copy of the first edition.
THE DUSTJACKET:
A NEW FACSIMILE copy
of the Harrison Fisher jacket, which sold with this edition, made
from a scan of an original in very good condition, printed on one
sheet of acid-free paper by an archival inkjet printer (80 yr.
inks), and preserved in archival plastic. This jacket has blank
flaps as issued. Many of the very earliest jackets had blank
flaps.
THE
STORY: I haven't yet read
anything about this story, I'm afraid. I'd love to hear from
someone who has, though.
