THE
VOLUME: The book covers
and dust jackets of the Briggs edition and the early A. L. Burt
reprint are virtually identical except for coloring. The
reprint's book cover was green rather than blue (as the Briggs
shown here.) The Briggs dust jacket was also a dark, bright
blue, although all the May Preston graphics on the dust jackets
were the same. Not so on the inside of the book. The Briggs had
11 May Preston illustratons while the A.L. Burt I've seen only
had one.
THIS
DUSTJACKET: A
NEW FACSIMILE copy
of the very scarce jacket with May Preston artwork, which sold
with the reprint edition. It was made from a scan of an
original in very good condition, printed on one sheet of
acid-free paper by an archival inkjet printer (80 yr. inks),
and preserved in archival plastic. It comes with a matching
bookmark.
THE
STORY: A
young medical student, recovering from a serious illness, takes
a menial job aboard a luxury yacht (traveling incognito) and
finds the trip anything but restful–as one of his companions
proves to be a murderer. But which one? I read this story
myself and found it hard to put down.
All Dust
Jackets may be purchased for $12.00, including a clear,
protective dust jacket cover, and a matching bookmark. (Price
is reduced to $10.00 when three or more djs are ordered.) Dust
Jackets may be resized to fit any edition.
